About Us
Adoree Roberson
Owner/General Manager
As a second generation Bakersfield native Adoree has lived all her life in her "home town." Her senior year aptitude test at Garces Memorial showed that she would excel in two professions: Real Estate and Personnel. Forty-five years later and a variety of unplanned events, finds her wearing both hats as the owner and manager of Roberson Real Estate. The team spirit and length of service of her agents reflect her "joy" in her chosen profession. Being in Real Estate since 1978, Adoree's reputation is impecable and she is recognized for her fairness, hiring ability and management skills, bringing together a company of oustanding and knowledgeable Realtors.
A SPECIAL PLACE...
Women own only a handful of Real Estate Agencies, and Roberson Real Estate is one of the largest, with over 40 agents. Most of these agents have chosen to stay with Roberson since it began. When you add up the years of experience these Realtors share, you're looking at over 200 years of Real Estate know how. That's the kind of group you need to take you through the challenging years as well as the good ones. They know how to navigate and prosper through all market conditions, not just the boom years. While riding the wave of our recent boom market, a lot of new agents evolved or moved into town. Roberson Real Estate was here before the boom and will be here long after. They are Bakersfield's company, with roots that go deep into this community and have strong ties to the construction industry. Their agents have the know how to guide you through any business cycle, successfully. That means a lot to folks that live here.
Roberson's owner and general manager, Adoree Roberson, leads her agents with the kind of Real Estate business savvy you look for in a seasoned Mentor. With over 28 years of personal real estate experience, she began Roberson Homes and Real Estate in 1989 with her husband Gene and sons. Before the Northwest growth path became a well-known and desireable area, Roberson was one of the first businesses on Coffee Road north of Rosedale Highway. The price was right and the location made sense for the kind of future she saw her business moving toward. That's the kind of forward thinking you'll find at Roberson Real Estate.
Adoree is a second generation Bakersfield native and Garces High School graduate. Her apptitude test stated she would succeed in Real Estate and Management. She was blessed with strong business mentors in Paul Campbell of American Jewelers. Adoree's enthusiasm about the business is contagious. She firmly believes in the individual's inalienable right, to own property in this great country and inspires that belief in all of us. She walks the talk.
Adoree's company initiated the St. Jude Dream Home project in California. When St. Jude first approached builders, they didn't have high hopes. Apparently, they hadn't met Adoree and her agent and friend Nadjii. It was their meeting with St. Jude that began the infamous St. Jude Dream Home projects. This charity has now become so successful; it's emulated by other building projects, like the Mee Memorial Cancer Center's win this home raffle in Monterey County. Adoree also helps spearhead another important charity close to her heart called the Mendiburu Magic Foundation (www.mendiburumagic.org). This foundation provides cancer research and assistance to Kern County families and their children affected by catastrophic and/or life threatening illness. Scholarships and youth development programs are also funded through this organization. She also serves on the board of Women's Coucil of Realtors and is also a member of Rotary International.
As a new Realtor to Adoree's company, I was impressed with the quality of the agents, their level of education and how well everyone got along. I've received nothing but support from all the agents. It's a competitive business, but Adoree makes it clear there's zero tolerance for stealing clients or unethical behavior. She also recognizes how different we all are and allows the freedom to become successful in our own way. The 'company culture' is spiritually driven in a way that inspires cooperation, teamwork and giving back to the community. The client always comes first and that's evident when you do business with any Roberson Real Estate agent.
